About Jiachen Lane Brick Tower
The Jiachen Lane Brick Tower is located at the bridge end of Jiachen Lane, Xiangmen, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The tower is 6.82 meters high and is an ancient architectural relic from the Song Dynasty. The Jiachen Lane Brick Pagoda is generally considered to be a Song Pagoda because there is a pagoda mark at this location in the Song Dynasty's "Pingjiang Picture", and the tower's structural shape is similar to the Song Dynasty pavilion-style imitation wood structure brick pagodas such as the Twin Pagodas and the Lengying Temple Pagoda. The Jiachen Lane Brick Pagoda is a five-level, eight-sided pavilion-style brick structure imitating wood. The waist eaves and flat seats are alternately highlighted with water chestnut teeth and overlapping bricks. There are pot doors and mullion windows at intervals on eight sides.
