About Wuran Temple
Wuran Temple is an AAAA-level scenic spot in Wendeng District, Weihai City, Shandong Province. It is located at the southern foot of Taiyunding, the main peak of Kunyu Mountain, Jieshi Town, Wendeng District, Weihai City. It is the most prosperous ancient temple in Jiaodong. It was first built in the Yongkang period of the Eastern Han Dynasty (167 AD). According to the records of Ninghai Prefecture, Wu Ranyuan was built during the Warring States Period, which means "the six roots of those who live there are pure." The "Wu Ran Temple Stele" of the Tang Dynasty records the grandeur of the palace. The inscriptions and some ruins of the Tang Dynasty extant are still there. In the northeast of the temple, there are the tomb of King Qi (it is said to be the burial place of Duke Qi Kang) and the ancient stone niche of Queen Wu Yan's tomb.
