About Nine Dragon Fountain

The Nine Dragons Bath is a large-scale musical dynamic bronze sculpture group in the Lingshan Scenic Area in Wuxi City. It is based on the birth story of Sakyamuni recorded in the Buddhist classic "Benxing Sutra" and consists of lotus bronze sculptures, nine flying dragons, eight donors and other elements. The main sculpture is in the shape of a budding lotus, which is supported by four strong men and stands in a round marble pool, facing the Lingshan Giant Buddha from a distance. The landscape reproduces the birth scene of Sakyamuni through dynamic scenes such as the opening and closing of lotus flowers, the rising of the Prince Buddha statue, and the spraying of water by nine dragons. During the performance, six lotus petals bloom with the music, and the 7.2-meter-high gilded Prince Buddha statue rises from it as if pointing to the sky and the earth.
