About Qingdao German street

Qingdao German Style Street is a key old city reconstruction project launched in Shibei District of Qingdao City in 2009. It is located on Guantao Road, starting from Tangyi Road in the south and ending at Enxian Road in the north, with a total length of more than 1,000 meters. The project focuses on restoring German-style historical buildings and is positioned as a comprehensive neighborhood integrating finance and commerce, specialty tourism, film and television culture, and leisure and entertainment. Guantao Road was built in 1899. It was once planned as a "Foreign Banking District" because it was adjacent to the port. In the 1930s, it developed into Qingdao's financial center and has 14 existing German and Japanese-style historical buildings.
