About Luoxing Islet

Luo Xingzhou is a small island at the entrance of Tongli Lake in the east of Tongli Town, Wujiang District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It floats on the lake of about four square kilometers. It is famous for its misty and rainy scenery. You need to take a boat to get there. It is named after the surrounding reeds resemble Luo stars. Luo Xingzhou integrates Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. The buildings on the island are compactly laid out, integrating temples and gardens. There are Guanyin Hall, Wenchang Pavilion, Doumu Pavilion, etc. Luo Xingzhou was first built in the Yuan Dynasty, rebuilt during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, burned down in 1938, rebuilt in 1996, and restored in 1998. Its "Luo Xing Listens to the Rain" is a historical landscape, and Liu Yazi once wrote a poem here. Folk activities such as the Luotian Dajiao are held on the island.
