About Martyrs Memorial Tower
The Martyrs Memorial Tower is a memorial tower and shrine-type facility specially built to commemorate the martyrs. According to the "Measures for the Protection and Management of Martyrs Memorial Facilities", it is divided into four levels: national level, provincial level, districted city level, and county level. Typical representatives include: Jiaozuo People’s Heroes Memorial Tower (formerly known as the 1945 Taihang Fourth District Anti-Japanese Martyrs Monument. The tower is engraved with Mao Zedong’s inscription “The People’s Heroes will live forever”. It was listed as a municipal level in 2012 and upgraded to a provincial cultural relics protection unit in 2021); the Hunan Martyrs Park Memorial Tower adopts the combination of tower and hall. It was designed in a traditional style and cost 410,000 yuan when it was completed in 1959.
