About Guilin Museum
Guilin Museum, the new museum is located in the two museums of the first courtyard of Pinggui West Road, Lingui New District, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The new museum has a total construction area of 34,000 square meters. It is affiliated to the Guilin Municipal Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau. It is a comprehensive museum displaying the history and culture of Guilin. It is one of the largest and most comprehensive museums in Guangxi. In 1963, preparations for the construction of the Guilin Museum began; in November 1988, it was completed and opened to the public; in March 1963, Mr. Guo Moruo inscribed the name of the museum. In February 2010, the construction of the new Guilin Museum officially started; it was completed in March 2014; and it was officially opened to the public on December 30, 2016.
