About The Royal Tomb of Wang Jian

Chengdu Yongling Museum is a special museum on ancient tombs established based on the tomb of Wang Jian (Yongling), the founding emperor of the former Shu Kingdom. It is now a national second-level museum. It is located at No. 10 Yongling Road, Jinniu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It covers an area of 54,000 square meters and is composed of three parts: a cultural relics protection zone, a comprehensive museum and a garden protection zone. The museum contains 3,452 pieces (sets) of movable cultural relics, including 24 national first-class cultural relics, 7 second-class cultural relics, and 854 third-class cultural relics. The core exhibit is the "Twenty-Four Music and Music" stone carvings carved on the coffin bed and pot door of the tomb, which completely presents the palace music and dance scenes of the Tang Dynasty and has important music history value.
