About Wang Yangming's hometown

Wang Yangming's hometown is located in Yuyao City, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It is the birthplace of Wang Yangming (Wang Shouren), a famous philosopher, thinker, educator and military strategist in the Ming Dynasty. In the eighth year of the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty (1472), Wang Yangming was born in Ruiyun Tower in the North City of Yuyao, which is now the former residence of Wang Yangming. The former residence was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit in 2006. Yuyao City has registered the trademark "Yangming Hometown" and is committed to creating Yangming cultural products.
