About Ningxia Geological Museum
Ningxia Geological Museum is located on People's Square East Street, Jinfeng District, Yinchuan City. It was completed and opened in 2011, with a construction area of 6,451 square meters, an exhibition area of 3,608 square meters, and a collection of more than 16,000 geological specimens/set. The museum has 7 exhibition areas including the Earth Science Hall, the Life Evolution Hall, the Geological Environment Hall, and a 4D cinema. The museum was rated as a national second-level museum by the China Museum Association on December 21, 2020. In the same year, it was awarded the title of "National Advanced Collective for Science Popularization", and its "Museum Wonderful Night" activity was selected as an outstanding case of National Science Popularization Day. Science popularization activities such as "Little Guides" and "Mobile Geology Museum" are carried out on a regular basis.
