About Qingdao Municipal Museum

Qingdao Municipal Museum is located at No. 51 Meiling East Road, Laoshan District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. It covers an area of 105 acres, with a construction area of 30,000 square meters and an exhibition area of more than 7,000 square meters. Qingdao Municipal Museum is a local comprehensive history and art museum. In 1965, Qingdao Municipal Museum was officially established. In 1996, the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee and Government decided to build a new Qingdao Museum in the eastern new city. In 2000, the new Qingdao Municipal Museum was officially opened to the citizens of Laoshan. The main building of the new Qingdao Museum has three floors above ground and one underground floor, including 13 exhibition halls and a bypass corridor.
