About Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Museum
The Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Museum is jointly invested and built by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and the Changsha Municipal People's Government. It is a public welfare infrastructure for the government and society to carry out science popularization work and activities. It is an institution directly affiliated to the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Association. Located next to the Cultural Park opposite the new site of the Provincial Government, No. 9 Shanmu Chong West Road, covering an area of 124,000 square meters, including a construction area of 28,113 square meters, with a total investment of more than 300 million yuan. It was officially opened to the public on June 25, 2011. The mascot "Wenwen" was released on February 1, 2024.
