About Zhejiang West Lake Art Museum
Zhejiang West Lake Art Museum is located at No. 25 Gushan Road, Xihu District, Hangzhou City, east of Zhejiang Provincial Museum, close to Pinghu Qiuyue, one of the ten scenic spots in West Lake. It was completed in 1999. The museum is divided into three floors, with a foyer, a gallery, a reception room and four exhibition halls. It has two thematic exhibition halls, Huang Binhong Painting and Calligraphy Gallery and Lu Xiaguang Art Gallery, with a construction area of 2,500 square meters. It is open from 9:00 to 17:00 from Tuesday to Sunday and is closed on Mondays. The museum introduces domestic and foreign art exhibitions from time to time and holds special thematic exhibitions. The museum is located on the former site of the National Academy of Arts. In the early 1930s, Lin Fengmian, Ai Qing and others initiated the establishment of the Gothic Art Museum.
