About Zhenhae Coast Defense Historical Memorial Hall
In China's modern coastal defense battle against foreign enemies, the Zhenhai people achieved complete victory against the French invasion. The Ningbo Zhenhai people who can sing Yue opera are delicate and gentle, but in the fight against the invasion of foreign enemies, they are not only witty, but also extremely brave. Since the middle of the Ming Dynasty, Zhenhai has experienced four famous anti-aggression wars at home and abroad, including the fight against Japanese pirates, the British, the French, and the Japanese. During the Anti-Japanese War, the famous general Qi Jiguang guarded Zhenhai and fought fiercely in the north and south of the Yongjiang River, which is famous in history. During the Opium War, national heroes Lin Zexu and Yuqian personally supervised the battle and fought bloody battles with the British army.
