About Dongping Museum

Dongping Museum is located in the west of Foshan Street, Dongping County, Shandong Province. It was officially opened in October 2011, with a construction area of 14,000 square meters. The building plan is shaped like the word "East", integrating elements of Han culture, stone culture and water culture, symbolizing the mark of local history. There are 17,597 pieces/set of cultural relics in the collection, covering categories such as pottery, jade, bronze and stone carvings, among which the Han Dynasty pottery kitchen, painted pottery figurines and Tang Dynasty pottery horses are national first-class cultural relics. In August 2024, it was promoted to a national second-level museum and became the first county-level comprehensive historical national second-level museum in Tai'an City. The museum has exhibition halls for ceramics, jade, bronze, and stone carvings.
