About Zhejiang Modern Ceramic Art Museum
Zhejiang Modern Ceramic Art Museum (English name: Zhejiang Modern Ceramic Art Museum) is located on Meishan Island, a 4A-level Xianghu scenic spot in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It was established in November 2017. It was renovated from a brick kiln factory in the 1860s in 2016. It incorporates contemporary design concepts and has a construction area of about 1,400 square meters. It retains the characteristics of industrial heritage and the iconic large chimney. The museum area is surrounded by water, and together with historical sites such as Xianghu kiln shadow and bridge shadow, it presents the historical style of ceramic production. The brick factory with industrial remains has been transformed into the current national second-level museum.
