About world tourism expo

World Tourism Expo is the world's first comprehensive expo with the theme of tourism. It is located on the Xianghu Island in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is an important part of the headquarters of the World Tourism Alliance. The museum was officially opened on June 1, 2023, with a total construction area of nearly 40,000 square meters, integrating exhibition, conference, catering and other functions. The design of the expo combines the aesthetics of the Song Dynasty and adopts the architectural style of four waters returning to the hall, conveying the concepts of tolerance, refinement and simplicity. The expo is Xiaoshan’s project to promote the development of cultural tourism conferences and exhibitions and will help showcase China’s tourism development to the world.
