About Confucius Museum

The Confucius Museum, formerly Qufu Confucius Museum, is a national first-class museum located at No. 100 Confucius Avenue, Qufu City, Shandong Province. It covers an area of 165,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 55,000 square meters and a total of 17,000 square meters of various display areas. It is a special museum dedicated to celebrities in social sciences. On November 26, 2018, the new Confucius Museum, which took five years to build, opened for trial operation in Qufu City, Shandong Province, the hometown of Confucius. The main display is organized into a preface hall and five parts. The preface hall gives a general introduction to Confucius through multimedia projection. The five parts are respectively the era of Confucius, the life of Confucius, the wisdom of Confucius, Confucius and Chinese civilization, and Confucius and world civilization.
