About Baoguo Temple

Baoguo Temple, originally named "Lingshan Temple", is located on the hillside of Lingshan Mountain in Jiangbei District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It can be traced back to Lingshan Temple during the Jianwu period of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Later, the temple was destroyed due to the policy of destroying Buddhism in Huichang of the Tang Dynasty. The temple was rebuilt in the first year of Guangming of Tang Dynasty (880). The main hall (main hall) in the temple was rebuilt in the sixth year of Dazhong Xiangfu (1013) in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is the most complete wooden structure of the Northern Song Dynasty in the Jiangnan area.
