About Moon Lake Old Picture Exhibition Hall
Dafang Yuedi is the former residence of Zhang Yuan, the governor of Guizhou during the Ming Dynasty. It was built during the Jiajing period (1522-1566) and is located at No. 465, Ming Road, East Bank Town, Yuehu, Haishu District, Ningbo City. It was named after the "Dafang Yuedi" archway in front of the house, also known as "Zhang Fang Yuedi". The main building faces south and is composed of a foyer, a front hall, a central hall, three entrances to the back building and another courtyard on the east side, with a total area of about 1,200 square meters. Among them, the hall and middle hall are original structures from the Ming Dynasty, and the back building was added in later generations. The overall style is solemn and simple. In 1981, it was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Haishu District.
