About Wang's Ancestral Hall
The Wang Ancestral Hall, also known as the Lexu Hall, is a family ancestral building built in the early 15th century (the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty). It is a place where the Wang family worships their ancestors and sages. Located in Hongcun, Anhui Province, its site selection follows the Feng Shui pattern of "piling on mountains and surrounded by water", and together with the moon marsh, forms the center of the Hongcun water system. The entire building has a "convex" shape in plan, with a width of 24.40 meters, a depth of 32.70 meters, and a ridge height of 10.20 meters. Together with the moon marsh, it forms the "Moon Marsh Wind Lotus", one of the eight scenic spots in Hongcun. Now open from 07:30-17:30 all year round.
