About West Lake Expo Museum
The West Lake Expo Museum is located at No. 41-42 Beishan Road, Xihu District, Hangzhou. It was formerly the site of the Industrial Hall of the first West Lake Expo in 1929. It was converted into a special exhibition museum in 2003. As China's first special exhibition museum, its main building is an ART DECO-style zigzag structure, retaining the original style of 1929 and incorporating modern facilities. The core exhibition areas include the "World Expo and Chinese Society" Hall, the "1929 West Lake Exposition" Hall (restore the grand occasion of the year, and display Hu Qingyutang medicine bottles, Siemens motor models and other physical objects) and the "Golden Business Card" Hall (display the achievements of the contemporary West Lake Expo). The museum is equipped with a sunroom, a temporary exhibition hall and a leisure bar.
