About Yuyao Museum

Yuyao Museum is located at the western foot of Longquan Mountain in Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province. It is a local comprehensive museum and is affiliated with the Yuyao Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau. Its predecessor was a venue that was renovated at the old site of the "First Mountain Temple" in 2001. It was officially opened on January 18, 2003. After expansion in 2010, the total construction area reached 5,700 square meters, and the exhibition hall area was 2,400 square meters. The museum has a basic exhibition "Five Thousand Years Up and Down" and a permanent exhibition "Yushui Ten Thousand Houses - Yuyao Ancient Civilization Exhibition", which displays nearly 300 cultural relics from the Hemudu culture to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, covering categories such as ceramics, bronzes, and jades.
