About Dalian Forest Zoo

Dalian Forest Zoo is located at No. 60 Yingchun Road, Xigang District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. It is located in the Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area and covers an area of 7.2 square kilometers. It was formerly the Dalian Zoo and opened to the public on May 24, 1997 after being relocated. Dalian Forest Zoo is divided into two parts: the captive area and the free-range area. There are more than 200 species and more than 3,000 animals in the park, and more than 300 species of plants are planted. In 2000, Dalian Forest Zoo was rated as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction; in 2022, Dalian Forest Zoo was selected into the first batch of provincial civilized tourism demonstration units in Liaoning Province; in addition, Dalian Forest Zoo has also been recognized as a science education base by departments at all levels, including the country, Liaoning Province, and Dalian City.
