About Small animal village
The Small Animal Village is the core exhibition area of Dalian Forest Zoo. This exhibition area integrates small animal display and animal care. The display highlights the word "small", covering a variety of small animals such as capybaras and marmots, and attempts to mix animals that will not harm each other. This exhibition area has attracted the attention of some tourists. In 2008, in order to reflect the popular science and education function of the zoo industry, the small animal village in the free-range area underwent an all-round transformation and was divided into areas such as small animal display, human-animal interaction, children's paradise, and nursery center. From June to August 2024, the Small Animal Village will undergo a comprehensive upgrade again and reopen on August 13.
