About Polar Science Museum
The Polar Science Museum is a national science education base located at No. 451 Jinqiao Road, Pudong New District, Shanghai. It is built and managed by the China Polar Research Center (formerly the China Polar Research Institute), which is a public institution directly under the Ministry of Natural Resources. The venue covers an area of more than 800 square meters and has functional areas such as Antarctic and Arctic exhibition rooms and video playback rooms. It displays more than 300 expedition photos, polar biological specimens and scientific expedition equipment, systematically displaying the polar environment and my country's scientific expedition history. The museum was officially opened to the public in May 1997 and has been listed as a science education base in Shanghai and nationwide.
