About Railway Culture Park
Xiamen Railway Cultural Park, also known as Railway Cultural Park, is an extension of the Yingxia-Xiamen Railway. This old railway has been abandoned for many years, but to some extent it also retains the original memory of Xiamen's transportation development. It has a long and strong historical and cultural background, a unique and superior geographical location, rich and beautiful natural landscapes and convenient transportation conditions. It is a rare treasure in the central area of the city. At the end of 2010, the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government decided to moderately transform and carefully carve this 4.5-kilometer-long old railway, turning it into a linear park for citizens' entertainment, leisure and fitness, and connecting surrounding attractions and trails. The construction was completed at the end of 2011 and fully opened in early 2012.
