About Xiamen Olympic Museum
Xiamen Olympic Museum is China's first Olympic-themed museum established with the approval of the International Olympic Committee and the Chinese Olympic Committee. It is a non-profit public welfare institution that is a member of the International Olympic Museum Alliance. It was officially opened to the public on February 11, 2008. The museum was planned, designed and directed by Wu Jingguo, a member of the International Olympic Committee, chairman of the International Boxing Federation and an architectural expert. It is located at No. 2017 Luling Road, Siming District, Xiamen City. The main exhibition area covers an area of 5,000 square meters and houses more than 11,000 Olympic torches, medals and other cultural relics.
