About Bai Yunxi

Baiyun River is located in the Diaoqiao (Baiyun) Scenic Area in the west of Huangshan Scenic Area, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It originates from the deep valley below the Paiyun Pavilion of the West Sea, and merges with the peaks of the West Sea and the water sources of Shizhu, Aoyu, Yunji, and Jiulong peaks. It is about 13 kilometers long and ends at Diaoqiao'an where it joins the Yunmen River to the west. The stream has abundant water all year round, forming deep pool landscapes such as Shuanglong Pool (an area of 400 square meters and a water depth of more than 5 meters) and Shark Pool (less than 1 meter wide and more than 20 meters long). There are more than 10 waterfalls of different shapes along the stream, and there are many strange peaks and rocks on both sides. Its eastern branch flows into Taohua Creek under Yunji Peak.
