About Huangshan Painting and Calligraphy Academy

Huangshan Painting and Calligraphy Academy is a full-funded public institution affiliated to the Huangshan Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau. It was formerly known as the Xinan Painting and Calligraphy Academy of Huizhou Region established in 1984. It was renamed in 1994 and added the Huangshan Art Museum brand in 2008, forming a "one team, two brands" structure. The institute has Mr. Wang Guanqing, Huang Shu, Hong Baili and Ye Senhuai as honorary presidents. The current president is Yu Hongli, who is mainly responsible for art creation research, exhibition planning, work collection and cultural exchange functions. The institute is located at No. 50 Yingbin Avenue, Tunxi, Huangshan City, and is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00-17:00. The academy moved to its current location in 2007, with an area of more than 2,000 square meters.
