About Art Museum of Ningbo
Ningbo Art Museum is a public welfare art museum managed by the Ningbo Federation of Literary and Art Circles in Zhejiang Province. It was designed by Pritzker Prize winner Wang Shu and officially opened on October 11, 2005. It has a construction area of 23,100 square meters and has 11 exhibition halls, academic lecture halls and other facilities. The main museum is located at No. 122 Renmin Road, Jiangbei District, and together with the Dongqian Lake museum area, it forms a comprehensive art space. The museum's core functions are exhibition, collection, and research of domestic and foreign art works. It is open to the public free of charge (except for special exhibitions). Visitors need to make an appointment in advance to enter the museum. The opening hours are 9:00-17:00 (last entry at 16:30). It is open until 20:00 on Saturdays (last admission at 19:30). It is closed on Mondays.
