About Huamao Museum of Art Education

Huamao Museum of Art Education is a themed museum with "art education" as its core. It was officially opened on November 21, 2020. It is the first domestic museum with "art education" as its theme. The museum was designed by Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza and is his only "black" architectural work in the world. The museum has a total construction area of 6268.05 square meters, a building height of 26.26 meters, and a total of 6 floors. This museum will be approved as a national second-level museum in August 2024. The museum has won the ArchDaily 2021 Architecture Award and was selected as "The Most Beautiful Public Cultural Space in Zhejiang Province in 2023".
