About Taibai building

Taibai Tower is a national AAA-level tourist attraction. It is located on the north bank of the ancient canal in Rencheng District, Jining City, Shandong Province, and to the north of the middle section of Taibai Tower Road. It was built in the 24th year of Kaiyuan of the Tang Dynasty (736). It was originally Helan's Restaurant. It got its name because Li Bai often drank and wrote poems here after moving to Rencheng. As one of the eight ancient sights in Rencheng, it was named "Taibai Restaurant" in the second year of Xiantong in the Tang Dynasty (861). In the 24th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1391), it was moved to the current site and rebuilt and renamed. In 1952, the government rebuilt it and in 1987, the Li Bai Memorial Hall was established.
