About Fengjie Swan Lake Scenic Area
The Swan Lake Scenic Area is located on the hilltop behind the new county seat, bordering the Baidi City Scenic Area to the east. Originally known as the Dayahe Reservoir, the reservoir was completed at the end of 1969 after an 11-year construction period, at an elevation of 1,080 meters. The scenic area covers 9.9 square kilometers and, following integration and optimization, has been incorporated into the Chongqing Fengjie Swan Lake Local-Level Forest Park (covering 4,790.44 hectares). It is now a national AA-level tourist attraction, open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The highest elevation in the scenic area is 1,388.30 meters, with its geological structure dominated by Mesozoic sedimentary rocks. Water sources come from the Dayahe Combined Reservoir and Swan Lake, offering excellent water quality.
