About Old House Field

Lao Wuchang is located at the western foot of Tianzishan Mountain in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area of Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province. It is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a largely undeveloped mountainous rural landscape area featuring peak forests. The region enjoys a mid-subtropical monsoon-influenced humid climate, where karst landforms coexist with quartz sandstone peak forests. Key attractions include Xian Shen Suo, Airborne Countryside, Sheng Bing Jushi, and Yuanyang Waterfall—natural wonders that have captivated visitors. Airborne Countryside is a trapezoidal plateau farmland covering 3.9 mu, situated at an elevation of approximately 1,000 meters above sea level, bordered on three sides by steep cliffs. It was developed over five years starting in 1983 by local villagers Peng Qiyun and his wife, who created this fertile land through their own efforts.
