About Qianwang Temple

The Qianwang Temple is located within Liulang Wenying Park on Nanshan Road in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It serves as a memorial temple dedicated to the five kings of the Wu Yue State during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period: Qian Liu, Qian Yuan’guan, Qian Hongzuo, Qian Hongze, and Qian Hongshu. In 2001, the Hangzhou Municipal Government rebuilt this ancient temple, breaking ground in February 2002 and completing construction just before National Day in 2003. The reconstructed Qianwang Temple covers an area of 11,300 square meters, with a building area of 4,600 square meters. The temple features structures such as a stele pavilion, a sacrificial hall, the Hall of Meritorious Officials, the Hall of the Five Kings, the Huaishen Hall, the Lan Yuan Hall, the Qingxi Hall, and the Yueli Hall.
