About Changchun Film Studio

Changchun Film Studio, formerly known as Northeast Film Company, is China's first film studio. It was established on October 1, 1945. It is located at No. 1118 Hongqi Street, Changchun City, Jilin Province. Its main business includes film and television production, distribution, film screening, cultural exchanges, etc. The first director is Yuan Muzhi, and the legal representative is Zhuang Yan. The predecessor of Changchun Film Studio was the "Manchuria Film Association Co., Ltd." established in 1937. In May 1946, it moved to Xingshan City, Hejiang Province (now Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province); in October of the same year, the company was renamed Northeast Film Studio. In April 1949, the Northeast Film Studio moved back to its current location in Changchun; in the same year, the feature film "The Bridge" was released to the public.
