About Jiuri Mountain

Jiuri Mountain is located in Fengzhou Town, Nan'an City, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. It is located on the Jinjiang River in the western suburbs of Quanzhou. It is a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction and a national key cultural relics protection unit. It is open from 08:00 to 18:00. The mountain is surrounded by three peaks in the east, west and north. There are 78 cliff stone carvings existing since the Song Dynasty, 10 of which are Song Dynasty stone carvings recording sailing wind prayer ceremonies from the 12th to 13th centuries. It is the only existing written relic of an ancient government navigation ceremony in the world. In 2021, it was included in the World Heritage List as part of "Quanzhou: The World Marine Trade Center of Song and Yuan China".
