About Civilization Tower
Civilization Tower, also known as "Wenfeng Tower", is located on the bank of East Tiao River of Xialanshan Grain Depot, Chengbei Village, Qianyuan Town, Deqing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the only two ancient towers remaining in Deqing County. It was built in August of the 22nd year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1594). The original meaning of the name of the tower was "to block the downstream and revitalize the cultural movement of the city." The Civilization Tower is a solid Wenfeng Tower with a brick structure imitating a pavilion. It is composed of a tower brake, a tower body and a tower base. It has seven floors and eight sides, is 22.2 meters high, has a maximum diameter of 7.44 meters, and covers an area of 150 square meters. The original building of the pagoda was destroyed and later rebuilt.
