About Chaozhou HanYu Memorial Hall
Chaozhou Han Yu Memorial Hall is located in Han Wengong Temple, Dongxing North Road, Qiaodong, Chaozhou City. It covers an area of 134 acres and has a total area of 9,368 square meters. It is a special memorial hall for celebrities mainly commemorating Han Yu. In the second year of Xianping in the Northern Song Dynasty (999), the Han Wengong Temple was first built. In 1984, General Secretary Hu Yaobang came to Chaozhou for an inspection and gave important instructions for the restoration of the Han Wengong Temple. It was restored according to the original site. It was completed in December 1985. On January 1, 1986, it was fully opened to the outside world, and the Chaozhou Han Yu Memorial Hall was established to be responsible for the protection, management and academic research of the Han Wengong Temple.
