About Fengchuiling Stone Carvings Group

Fengchuiling Stone Carvings Group is located 1.5 kilometers east of Zhelin Town, Raoping County, Guangdong Province. It is named because it is located on a high mountain facing the sea and has strong winds all year round. There are many existing cliff stone carvings, including inscriptions such as "Fujian Guangda Temple", "Broad Sea and Sky" and "Yuzhu Tianguan". In 1981, it was announced as a county-level cultural relic protection unit. There are also key cultural relics protection units at the county level such as Baique Temple and Tianhou Temple around the stone carving group. The main group of stone carvings was formed from the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. The earliest extant one is "Fujian Guangda View" inscribed by Yan Jifang, the deputy general of Fujian and Guangdong in the fifth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1577, some say it is the ninth year of Wanli (1581)).
