About OCT Gulou
Gulao Water Town (also known as Weidun Water Town) is located on Yuanjiang Road, Gulao Town, Heshan City, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. It was first built in the 27th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1394). Feng Baxiu presided over the construction of Gulao Wai to control floods, forming a unique Weidun settlement pattern. This area preserves the largest and most concentrated mulberry fish pond system in Lingnan. It has a water town style with criss-crossing river channels, ancient banyan stone bridges, and residential buildings on the piers. It is known as "the last original ecological water town in the Pearl River Delta." In 2019, OCT Group took over the operation of the scenic spot and opened the first area in October 2020, launching the "Henghai Dream" cruise ship and other projects.
