About Shu Yuquan

Shuyu Spring is located on the south side of Li Qingzhao Memorial Hall in Baotu Spring Park, Jinan City, Shandong Province today. The name of the spring comes from the allusion of "washing stones and pillows" in "Shishuoxinyu·Paidiao". The word "shuyu" means that the mountain spring stirs up the rocks, and the flying water splashes white, crystal clear like jade. It is one of the "Seventy-two Famous Springs" recorded in Jinan's "Famous Spring Stele" by Yan Bi in the Ming Dynasty, "Seventy-Two Spring Poems" by Yan Bi in the Ming Dynasty, and "Seventy-two Springs" by Hao Zhigong in the Qing Dynasty. It belongs to the "Baotu Spring Group". The Shuyu Spring Pool is rectangular in shape, with a length of 4.8 meters, a width of 3.1 meters, and a depth of 2 meters. It is surrounded by white marble railings.
