About Sijinshifang
The Fourth Jinshi Square is a stone archway on the archway street of the ancient city of Chaozhou. It was built to commemorate the four Chaozhou Jinshis, Xiao Yucheng, Chen Daqi, Xue Kan and Su Xin, who were fellow Jinshis in Ming Zhengde and Ding Chouke (1517). Qianlong's "Chaozhou Prefecture Chronicle·Fang Biao" says: "The four Jinshifangs are on the street. They are Xiao Yucheng, Chen Daqi, Xue Kan and Su Xinjian, the Jinshi of Ding Chou, Zhengde of Ming Dynasty." Ding Chou of Zhengde of Ming Dynasty was the twelfth year of Zhengde (1517).
