About Qijunfang
According to records in Qianlong's "Chaozhou Prefecture Chronicles", Qianlong's "Jiaying Prefecture Chronicles", and the Republic of China's "Chaozhou Chronicles·Historical Records·Fangbiao", each archway in Chaozhou Archway Street reveals a dusty history, which is evidence for future generations to browse. Qijunfang is located on Dongmen Street, with the same word on both sides. It was built for Lin Guangzu, Zhang Xi, Huang Guoqing, Guo Weifan, Chen Changyan, Su Zhiren and Cheng Zixue, who were among the Jinshi of Chaozhou Prefecture in the 23rd year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1544). Later generations were called "the first seven Chaozhou sages of the Ming Dynasty".
