About Aviary

Beijing Aviary is a bird viewing and protection center that simulates the natural environment in Beijing. It is located 260 meters west of the intersection of Jian'an West Road and Beichen Road Auxiliary Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing (in the Yuan Dynasty City Wall Ruins Park), with a total area of about 100 acres. A giant bird net stands in the garden, with a center height of 40 meters and side nets of 18 meters, covering an area of 22,000 square meters. There are nearly 100 varieties and more than 2,500 birds in the network, and the number will be gradually increased. There are many species in the Aviary that belong to the first and second categories of protected animals in my country, such as brown-eared pheasant, red-crowned crane, green peacock, red-bellied golden pheasant, as well as black swans and Australian ostriches that have traveled thousands of miles to Beijing.
