About Shuzhuang Garden
Shuzhuang Garden is located in the south of Gulangyu Island, Siming District, Xiamen City, Fujian Province. It was built in the second year of the Republic of China (1913), facing the sea and backed by Sunlight Rock. It was originally the private villa of local gentry Lin Erjia. The owner of the garden named the garden after the homophony of his name "Uncle Zang". In 1955, the owner's relatives dedicated the garden to the country. Shuzhuang Garden is backed by Huangyan Rock, facing the sea, adjacent to Guanhai Garden to the east, and to the west overlooking Hong Kong Aberdeen. The whole garden is divided into two parts: Zanghai Garden and Bushan Garden, each with five sceneries.
