About Lin's Mansion
Lin's Mansion is the former residence of the Lin family in Banqiao, Taiwan, on Gulangyu Island, commonly known as "Fu Nei". It has a certain degree of recognition among old Gulangyu people. Lin's Mansion is a building complex, ranked among the top ten villas in Gulangyu Island, and mainly includes English-style buildings, Spanish-style small buildings, and Baroque five-story octagonal buildings. Mr. Lin Erjia, who built "Shuzhuang Garden", was once the owner here. Today, Lin's Mansion has been transformed into Lin's Mansion Hotel and Lin's Mansion Family Expo. In 1895, Lin Weiyuan of the Lin family in Banqiao, Taiwan, did not want to be colonized by Japan after the Sino-Japanese War, so he led his family to move to Gulangyu Island and purchased a mansion here.
