About Luoyang Bridge
Luoyang Bridge Scenic Area is located at the mouth of the Luoyang River at the junction of Qiaonan Village, Luojiang District, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, and Luoyang Town, Hui'an County. The main building, Luoyang Bridge (formerly known as Wan'an Bridge), was built in 1053 in the Northern Song Dynasty and completed in 1059. It is China's first cross-sea beam-style stone bridge. Together with Beijing Marco Polo Bridge, Hebei Zhaozhou Bridge, and Guangdong Guangji Bridge, it is also known as the four famous bridges in ancient China. It is now a national key cultural relics protection unit. The existing bridge is 731 meters long and 4.5 meters wide. It has 45 boat-shaped piers, 645 handrails and 104 stone lions.
