About Nanfeng ancient stove
Nanfeng Ancient Stove, also known as "Dragon Kiln". Located on the hillock of Shiwan Town, Chancheng District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, it was first built during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty (1506-1521) and has been in use for more than 500 years and is still in use today. The Nanfeng Ancient Stove Kiln stretches southward along the mountain, close to the Dongping River, with a total length of 34.4 meters and an inner length of 30.87 meters. Because the kiln faces due south and the cool breeze blows in summer, it is called Nanfeng Ancient Stove. The Nanfeng ancient stove has important historical and scientific research value for studying a series of issues such as the specialized production of China's pottery industry during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the dragon kiln structure and the evolution of calcining technology.
